Smith Roofing & Exteriors completed a full multi-level deck replacement on a mountainside property in Sevierville, TN. The project included the complete demolition of the existing deck system, structural engineering approval, new footer installation, and a full rebuild using Grade 2 pressure-treated lumber. Powder-coated hog-wire railing panels were installed for security and preservation of the mountain views. Locking entrance gates were added at select locations for child and pet safety. The stair layout was reconfigured, with wider stairs in some areas and the removal of unnecessary runs in others, improving the deck’s functionality. Walkways were redesigned to separate HVAC and crawlspace access from the main living areas. While making these updates, the owners also requested oversized gutters, downspouts, and gutter guards to help manage water runoff from the home’s roof. The new system is now both beautiful and functional, and will be safe for years to come.
